WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

• Job fraud is the scamming of people who are seeking employment or already employed, giving them false hope of earning wages of which they are often desperately in need.

• The scammer contacts victims via Email or phone.

• Fraudsters use numerous schemes such as easy hire, easy work, flexible hours or other attractive offers to lure victims.

• Virtually all of them ask victims to pay money as a security deposit, bonds etc.

HOW DO WE MITIGATE IT?

• Research the company to ensure they are authentic.

• No real company hires you without a face to face interview/video conference.

• An email or telephone interview is always the sign of a scam!

• No real company charges any money for a job or for visa or work permit.

• Be cautious when dealing with individuals outside of your own country.
